PSiRA Drone Programme Applications Now Open

The PSiRA  Drone Programme is an initiative by the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSiRA) aimed at training and certifying 50 female security officers as  Drone pilots. This fully funded 6-8 week training programme will provide participants with a Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC), equipping them with the skills needed to operate drones professionally.

What is the PSiRA Drone Programme?

The PSiRA Drone Programme is a fully funded skills training course that provides selected candidates with professional training in drone operations. Over a period of 6-8 weeks, participants will:

Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Criteria)
To qualify for the PSiRA Drone Programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Be a South African citizen
Aged between 18 – 40
Passionate about technology and security
Hold a Matric Certificate with at least 50% in English
Be in good health
Be female
Be registered with PSiRA and in good standing

What to Expect During the PSiRA Drone Programme

Port Elizabeth
Accommodation and meals will be provided for most participants, except for those in Rustenburg, Kimberly, and Port Elizabeth, who must arrange their own transport and lodging.
