CETA 2026/27 DISCRETIONARY GRANT FUNDING WINDOW

The Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA) is a Schedule 3A public entity established in terms of the Skills Development Act of 1998. The CETA’s current licensed period expires on 31 March 2030.

The CETA hereby invites all stakeholders and any other interested parties to apply for Discretionary Grant (DG) funding. to implement skills development interventions in the construction sector. The grants are intended to address the national and sectoral priorities as well as contribute to the achievement of the targets set by the CETA in terms of its Strategic Plan.

Applications should take cognisance of Rural and Township development, Youth, Women empowerment, People with disabilities. Military Veterans, and NSDP 2030 transformation imperatives. Preference will be given to applications received from employers in the Construction industry.

Applications are invited for CETA 2026/27 DG Funding for the following learning pathways

HET Student Placement- 338

Internship- 393

Learnerships Unemployed- 2500

Short Skills Programmes Unemployed- 300

Short Skills Programmes Employed- 405

TVET Student Placement- 355

Recognition of Prior Learning- 1680

All applications for this funding window can be made online from 09 January 2026 to 16 February 2026. To register, and/or access the online application portal and the invite for applications please visit: www.ceta.org.za.

Please note:

Incomplete and late applications will not be considered. Discretionary Grants are allocated at the sole discretion of CETA. If you do not receive any response within 60 days after the closing date, please consider your application as unsuccessful.

The closing date for submission of the 2026/27 DG Applications is 16 February 2026.
